Cameron graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with degrees in Science and Physiotherapy. He returned to the University of Melbourne several years later to complete his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2003. Cameron has held numerous positions as a physiotherapist, both clinically and academically. He was physiotherapist to local and international sporting teams and consulted within inernationally recognized, multidisciplinary sports clinics. He has served as team physiotherapist for Australian Rules Football and to the Australian snowboard team.
Cameron has published a recent article on specialization in physiotherapy and served on council for two years with the Australian Physiotherapy Association. During his final year in Australia, he held a clinical teaching position at the University of Melbourne before moving to Canada.
Cameron's primary interest and significant portion of his Master's degree dealt with the treatment of shoulder injuries and pain, including neck and upper back disorders. Cameron spends considerable clinical time assessing and treating difficult shoulder problems as well as devoting some time to working as a generalist physiotherapist. He has recently started a website for shoulder pain and injury education.
In his spare time Cameron enjoys a variety of sports and fitness work but has a bias towards snowboarding, squash and a recent switch to mountain biking after spending several months in Whistler last year.
Cameron worked in several clinics throughout Vancouver and Whistler in 2005 and has chosen West Vancouver Sports and Orthopedic Physiotherapy Clinic as his home base on the North Shore.
